Two daughters' wrestling ambitions develop inside a father's project to challenge the expectations surrounding girls in their community. Training has a clear physical grammar, so an unfamiliar sport remains easy to invest in. The Phogat family inspired the film; its forceful paternal methods and dramatised conflicts are worth questioning alongside the exhilaration.
