The Vanishing Half (2020)

Twin sisters build different lives after one passes as white, and the consequences extend to their daughters. Bennett makes identity a matter of daily relationships and risk as well as a category other people assign. This can unsettle the assumption that one decisive choice creates a stable self. Racism, domestic violence and family separation are part of these particular lives.
