Rebecca (1938)

A new bride enters a Cornish house where she cannot find a comfortable place for herself. The anxious attention to manners and possessions supplies a powerful atmosphere before any explanation becomes clear. Choose it for sustained psychological suspense rather than immediate action. Cruelty, control and death shape the experience. The less you know about the previous household, the better.
