One Day (2009)

Two university friends keep missing the right moment for each other. Nicholls returns to Emma and Dexter on the same date across successive years, letting small decisions gather a surprisingly large emotional weight. Their humour and frustration make good company for a long afternoon, with grief as well as romantic possibility along the way. Leave the ending undiscovered.
