Hellblade II: Senua's Saga (2024)

The sequel expands the contrast between close voices and the acoustic space of its Icelandic landscapes. Caverns, open ground, breath and violent movement give Senua's body a changing relationship to the world around her. Listen to that scale as well as the words beside your ears. Compared with the first game's concentrated inward pressure, this is a more cinematic journey with long directed passages; both use intimate voices, but they offer different kinds of space to inhabit.
