The Road (2006)

A father and son cross a devastated America with little beyond each other. Spare conversations and recurring acts of care carry as much weight as the danger. Its conclusion leaves the idea of goodness exposed to doubt, which gives the tenderness its staying power. Expect extreme violence, cannibalism and sustained peril to a child.
