For two to four players on one Switch 2, open Settings/Controller and let each person choose Smart Steering, Auto-Accelerate and Auto-Use Items independently. Someone still learning corners can concentrate on the track while an experienced racer keeps manual control. Begin with a slower race class and review the help after a few races; automatic items remove a useful decision as well as a button press.
