Short stages keep finding new uses for familiar jumps: a slippery slope, a moving platform, then a chance to fly with the raccoon tail. The NES original in Nintendo's Classics library preserves the level design and feel being recommended here. The SNES All-Stars version redraws it, while Super Mario Advance 4 adds further changes and extra levels. The original cartridge had no ordinary save system, so a modern suspend point removes a practical nuisance without making the jumps for you.
