Dead Cells (2018)

A proper action roguelite fits in your pocket, provided you enjoy learning dodges and enemy timings. The standard iOS and Android editions charge for the base game, with expansion DLC sold separately; that is different from buying the entire catalogue in one payment. iOS requires 15 or later. Repositionable touch buttons and Auto-Hit help, but a controller is worth considering if fingers obscure the fight. Start with the base game before buying every expansion.
