Beyond Oasis (1994)

Mega Drive/Genesis, also called The Story of Thor in Europe: summon elemental spirits from features of the environment, such as water, then use their abilities in combat and puzzles. The useful idea is that a place helps determine which companion you can call, making scenery feel like a resource. Ali's physical attacks add another layer without turning every problem into a menu choice. The regional title names refer to this same original adventure.
