Tetris Attack (1996)
Game
Released
Super Nintendo: swap neighbouring panels in a rising stack, then use the fall after one match to build another. You are rearranging a live system rather than steering falling tetrominoes, despite the title. The extra satisfaction comes from seeing a future chain while the current one is still resolving. This is the 1996 Yoshi-themed SNES release; Japan's earlier Panel de Pon has different characters and presentation, rather than being an extra game counted here.
