Bangai-O (1999)

A tiny robot can answer a dangerously close cloud of enemy fire with a much larger counter-burst, turning panic into an outrageous tactical opportunity. The Dreamcast version reworks the earlier Nintendo 64 game's rules, so it is more specific than a straightforward identical port. This remains a legacy Dreamcast recommendation; Bangai-O Spirits and HD: Missile Fury are different later games. Read the controls and learn one small stage at a time, because the joke is clearest when you understand why the screen just filled with missiles.
