Power-slide boosts give familiar tracks enough depth for returning rivals, and local battle modes offer a change from another cup. Local Arcade supports up to four on PS4, Xbox One and a docked Switch; Switch tabletop mode is limited to two. Its Adventure campaign is a separate solo project. Pick local races or battles for the evening and agree how much drifting expertise the group wants, because experienced players can open a large gap.
