Mass Effect Legendary Edition (2021)

The first game's tighter weapon handling, separate melee button and improved Mako controls make it easier to introduce the trilogy without a long apology for the opening combat. Native PC controller support and a common launcher also help a friend settle in. It is a remastered single-player collection, not every historical feature: Pinnacle Station and the official Mass Effect 3 multiplayer are absent. The older mission layouts and first game's inventory work remain, so the practical gains are substantial without being a complete reinvention.
