Pusher (1996)
Movie
Released
Watch Pusher, Pusher II, then Pusher III. Nicolas Winding Refn changes the central character within the same Copenhagen criminal world, making each film re-evaluate someone who might have seemed peripheral before. The final film's compressed working-day pressure is a strong finish. Expect ugly violence and addiction rather than glamorous criminal competence; the variation in viewpoint is the marathon's reward.
