Slay the Spire (2019)

PC, first game: combat waits for cards and End Turn, so you can leave an enemy's intentions on screen while attending to real life. Use Save and Quit to retain the run. Reloading during a battle can return you to the encounter's start, so it is not an exact mid-turn bookmark.
