Iconoclasts (2018)

Joakim Sandberg's long-running project combines expressive pixel animation, wrench-based puzzles and boss fights with an unusually troubled story about authority and belief. His work across the core art, programming, music and design gives those parts a recognisable texture. Pick it for a colourful action adventure willing to become emotionally uncomfortable, rather than for uninterrupted light-hearted platforming.
