Anna and the Apocalypse (2018)
Movie
Released
The school Christmas show has stiff competition from a zombie outbreak, and Anna's friends have to sing, fight and keep moving through both. The musical numbers give youthful frustration a shape before the survival plot starts removing easy options. A very specific party-night choice: Scottish Christmas musical comedy with bloody horror attached. The emotional losses are real within the film, so the cheerful premise is not a guarantee of a weightless evening.
