Klaus (2019)

A self-interested postman and a reclusive toymaker turn the business of delivering letters into an unexpected route towards generosity. The pleasure is seeing seasonal customs assembled from practical actions and changing relationships, with expressive traditional animation giving the winter light unusual depth. This is the gentler end of the selection, though bereavement sits inside its warmth. A good finish when the evening has had enough murder, feuding or difficult relatives.
