Balatro (2024)

This poker-inspired deckbuilder keeps decisions on a card table, but its default swirling background and wobbling effects deserve attention. In an updated PC copy, enable Reduced Motion before judging the presentation; it removes the animated background and much of the card movement. The appeal is building surprising scoring combinations at your own pace. A turn-based card game can still have lively scoring effects, so inspect those too.
