Perfect Days (2023)

A Tokyo toilet cleaner's working routine gives viewers a clear rhythm of tasks, music and unexpected encounters. Japanese is the main language of Wim Wenders's Japanese-German co-production. Kōji Yakusho makes small variations absorbing, a useful choice if you want a quieter beginning with subtitled cinema rather than an elaborate plot.
