The Motorcycle Diaries (2004)

Two young travellers' changing encounters make the Spanish-language journey accessible before the historical identities become the point. Gael García Bernal gives the future Ernesto Guevara curiosity rather than a ready-made revolutionary aura. Based on travel writings, it is a dramatisation of a formative trip, not a complete account of his later politics.

About The Motorcycle Diaries
Based on the journals of Che Guevara, leader of the Cuban Revolution. In his memoirs, Guevara recounts adventures he and best friend Alberto Granado had while crossing South America by motorcycle in the early 1950s.
