ReCore: Definitive Edition (2017)

ReCore's original reception was dominated by technical problems and frustrating progression. The Definitive Edition adds areas, dungeons and a missing Corebot frame, alongside loading and gameplay improvements, making it the sensible version to reconsider. Fast traversal and colour-matched combat with robot companions give it an appealing rhythm. Collection gates, repeated routes and remaining rough edges still make it better suited to explorers than players seeking an uninterrupted action campaign.
