Venba (2023)

A Tamil immigrant family's recipe book gives the cooking puzzles their emotional weight. Reconstructing a missing step is also a way of seeing what a mother hopes to pass on, and why her son may receive it differently. The dishes belong to this particular family's history, not a checklist for representing all Indian food. It is a short narrative experience with time to think through the sequence rather than race a restaurant queue.
