Flora's orders ask you to understand people's ingredient requirements, then make and deliver something that suits them. Cooking is tied to getting to know the town and its witches, with platforming exploration between visits. Food does take time to cook and can burn; the Instant Cooking option removes those waits and burning if they interrupt the conversation you want to enjoy. It is more than assembling a decorative recipe book.
