Tunic (2022)

Soft electronic pulses and hazy, half-remembered melodies make this fox's exploration feel like a mystery before you solve anything. Lifeformed and Janice Kwan's Redwood Colonnade and The Weight of Rain are good entry points beyond the opening theme. Away from the game, the detailed surfaces reward headphones and an unhurried listen. Look for both co-composers when finding the album, even where a storefront files it under Lifeformed.
