The Death of Stalin (2017)
Movie

The scramble to appear loyal turns a dictator's death into a grotesque problem of timing and etiquette. Armando Iannucci's British-led co-production uses English-speaking performers rather than presenting its exchanges as literal historical transcription. Its comedy is extraordinarily dark because imprisonment and killing remain part of the machinery behind every nervous gesture.
