The Phantom of the Open (2022)
Movie
Released
Mark Rylance makes a man's implausible attempt to enter elite golf less about sporting talent than the stubborn dignity of having a go. The British comedy dramatises Maurice Flitcroft's real escapade with a fanciful touch. It suits viewers who enjoy institutional rules meeting an outsider whose confidence cannot quite be explained by his abilities.
