Munroe uses diagrams, calculations and cartoons to explore fresh scientific hypotheticals. Each question offers a self-contained way in, so the recipient need not have read the first book. Pick an illustrated print edition if they enjoy the drawings; this is playful science, with some destructive and decidedly impractical scenarios.
