Being a knot of teeth and tendrils changes how you read a laboratory. You pull your body through vents, reach around corners and drag guards towards you, with size and abilities affecting the routes you can use. This is the clearest starting point for feeling physically unlike a human protagonist. The pixel-art presentation does little to soften the gore.
