... Trotzdem Ja zum Leben sagen (1946)
Book
Published
Man’s Search for Meaning places Frankl’s concentration-camp testimony beside his account of a psychology organised around meaning. What makes it demanding is the distance between its extreme suffering and the familiar inspirational slogan sometimes made from it. Read as one survivor’s reflections on responsibility, love and inner life, rather than a rule that sufficient hope keeps everyone alive. The philosophical section is substantial.
