The Getaway (1972)
Movie
Released
Sam Peckinpah makes a couple's flight after a bank robbery a test of whether they can continue trusting one another. Money and routes matter, but emotional damage keeps interfering with practical escape. This older original is the Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw film, with a rough, violent rhythm distinct from the later remake.
