La-Mulana (2012)

This is the remake of the original ruin-exploration platformer. Tablet riddles need to be recorded and reconsidered elsewhere in the labyrinth; reaching a chamber rarely means you already understand it. The reward is a growing personal map of clues and connections. Expect obscure puzzles, traps and difficult bosses alongside that detective work, with fictional mythology and treasure-hunting adventure rather than fieldwork.
