In the 2024 remake, apparently incidental symbols, buildings and machines gradually become parts of a legible place. Progress depends on noticing their relationships across the islands, so a notebook can feel more valuable than an inventory full of relics. It is especially rewarding if you want to infer how a society works through its surroundings, although the connections can be demanding and deliberately indirect.
