The Excavation of Hob's Barrow (2022)

Getting permission, finding assistance and navigating a village's reluctance matter before antiquarian Thomasina Bateman can open the Yorkshire burial mound. That makes the surrounding community part of the investigation rather than disposable scenery around a prize. This point-and-click adventure suits a reader drawn to the social friction around a dig, provided they want unsettling folk horror rather than a historical case study.
