The Sympathizer (2015)

A double agent travels from the fall of Saigon into the Vietnamese refugee community in Los Angeles. His divided loyalties generate the suspense, while his highly alert, argumentative voice keeps exposing the assumptions behind each side's story. Expect political reflection alongside espionage, with severe violence and torture. The narrator's need to explain himself is part of the action.
