The Witch (2016)

Robert Eggers makes household labour, religious language and the boundaries of a small farm organise the fear. Anya Taylor-Joy's position inside the family matters as much as the wilderness beyond it. The Lighthouse and The Northman take different forms, but the first feature already shows his commitment to a world whose rules people inhabit physically.
