The creatures seem to have lives beyond your arrival, making a ruined industrial world feel like a functioning ecosystem. Unexplained rules, abrupt deaths and lost progress can make learning that ecosystem exhausting. The current Remix options provide useful ways to reduce friction, so check them before giving up. It suits curiosity about animal behaviour and hostile places more than a need for steady, clearly signposted progress.
