Choose the complete four voyages rather than a children's Lilliput retelling. Swift moves from court favour and petty faction to grand schemes whose inventors never seem to encounter the people living with their consequences. Changing Gulliver's scale makes the arrangement of power newly visible. The later voyages are sourer and more disturbing than the miniature adventure suggests; the narrator's disgust and the novel's treatment of bodies and women deserve resistance as well as laughter.
