The House in Fata Morgana (2012)

A mansion's successive tragedies form a long gothic visual novel whose people become harder to judge as their histories deepen. NOVECT's work is strongest when you have time to read attentively and let a change of perspective disturb an earlier assumption. The English PC release is the base story; expanded editions add other material. Physical and psychological abuse and discrimination are substantial subjects, so the atmosphere is far from decorative gloom.
