Breath of the Wild made materials and terrain worth noticing; Tears of the Kingdom lets you turn them into plans. Ultrahand builds contraptions, Fuse changes equipment, and Ascend makes a ceiling a possible route. Those are meaningful new verbs, not just more map. If stopping to construct things breaks your wandering rhythm, the original's lighter touch may suit you better.
