Mario Bava turns a fashion house into a richly coloured map of secrets, display and danger. The masked figure and elaborate movement through rooms supply pleasures later gialli would develop. Its treatment of women is brutally objectifying, so choose it for the force of the visual construction with that cruelty clearly in view.

Isabella, a young model, is murdered by a mysterious masked figure at a fashion house in Rome. When her diary, which details the house employees' many vices, disappears, the masked killer begins killing off all the models in and around the house to find it.
