Pentiment (2022)

Pentiment takes its time because a community's history needs room to accumulate. Returning to Tassing across its three acts lets earlier decisions acquire consequences instead of simply giving you another version of the same murder. There is plenty of walking and reading, but the final act changes the investigation's purpose. Its length feels justified by what has changed between visits.
