Titanfall 2 (2016)

Titanfall 2 keeps handing its movement and combat a new context, then changes the situation before a clever device becomes routine. The campaign's alternation between pilot and titan does more pacing work than another set of upgrades would. Difficult fights can demand retries, yet the route to the conclusion stays direct. Multiplayer is a separate reason to return.
