The Tale of Bistun (2022)

A stone-carver's lost memories lead into a retelling of the Persian romance Khosrow and Shirin. Carving, magical encounters and bursts of combat give the narrated journey a physical shape. Black Cube Games' founders knew one another in Iran before moving to the Netherlands; their literary adaptation brings that background to a Dutch-based production. The relatively straightforward fighting supports a short, atmospheric tale, making it a good fit when the particular story interests you more than deep combat systems.
