Awaceb turns its founders' New Caledonian childhood memories and local shapeshifting tales into an original archipelago adventure. Soul-jumping gives that influence a playful form: become a bird, fish or object and reconsider the route ahead. Music, locally voiced languages and everyday details broaden the sense of place. It is an open-world game with warmer stretches and darker story turns, with English subtitles available for dialogue voiced in local languages.
