Three Days of the Condor (1975)
Movie

A routine workplace becomes a site whose trustworthiness can no longer be assumed, leaving an analyst dependent on incomplete knowledge. Sydney Pollack keeps the professional habits useful while making the surrounding institution frighteningly opaque. The thriller's fictional conspiracy is a vehicle for 1970s distrust, not a disguised documentary account.
