My Summer Car (2025)

I admire the commitment to making a car an assembly of parts and responsibilities instead of a menu upgrade. Getting an engine working can matter because you dealt with its mundane details yourself. Those details also include earning money, bodily needs, travel and consequences for careless maintenance. It reached full release in 2025, but remains deliberately awkward and unforgiving. Choose it for a scruffy Finnish life-and-mechanics simulation, with optional permadeath understood before starting, rather than expecting a quick driving game.
