Receiver 2 (2020)
Game

Every encounter makes the handling of a weapon part of the problem, so tension comes from remembering controls while machines threaten you. I appreciate how completely that changes the usual rhythm of a shooter. The hesitation is the same concentration it demands: many actions need deliberate inputs, mistakes are costly, and the surreal fiction is uneasy rather than reassuring. The developer also flags mental-illness and self-harm themes. This is a mouse-and-keyboard simulation for someone interested in careful interaction, not an easy evening's target practice.
