A wand you assembled can turn the environment into an astonishing chain reaction. Fluids, fire and destructible terrain make experimentation unusually tangible, which is the part I find irresistible. They can also kill you before you understand what went wrong, including through your own spell combinations. Death ends the run, and learning often means starting again. I would recommend it to someone who treats a spectacular failed experiment as an interesting result, not to someone seeking dependable progress every evening.
